This was a fantastic show all
around. The five bands on the bill put on high energy
shows and the crowd kept the good vibes flowing.
A very special thanks goes out
to the amazing audience and the guest musicians who helped Pond
Monkeys put on one of their most energetic shows yet. Trent Pruitt
of Army Of Prawnz added percussion throughout the set and
plugged in his guitar for a rocking finale of "First Comes
Love." Wearing a face mask of the honorable Richard
Nixon, Logan Payne of Heads Up (and the band's art director on
Breathing Buildings) contributed vocals on "Prepare The
Noose" and "First Comes Love."
By the time the smoke cleared,
several amps, drums, guitars and stands had been destroyed, and
even more audience members had found themselves pulled onstage
(Quinton, Duncan, Andrew). At least one audience member
had to be removed from the venue after dropping from the ceiling
rafters onto the crowd. Incidentally, this person was the
band's infamous "roadie", Mr. Matt Trotter.
Another thanks is in order for
Tanner Cheney who took some fantastic up-close-and-personal
photos.
